Occupational Health Tests – Henderson, NV

For both private and public Henderson workplaces, employers are required to follow occupational safety and health guidance established under the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Act. This collection of rules and regulations is based on federal OSHA guidance and creates a wide variety of protections for employees. Many topics covered under these various laws include workplace hazard communication and the use of a regulatory board that monitors workplaces and allows employees to file complaints in the event of unsafe working conditions.

Under current Henderson workplace occupational health regulations, there are a variety of employee types that must follow tuberculosis (TB) testing regulations. In the event of possible exposure, employers are required to provide hepatitis B vaccination resources as well as post-exposure resources, including an antibody test that can be used to measure the individual's level of immunity to hepatitis B.

Certain Henderson employers may require employees to possess a commercial driver's license (CDL) for work purposes. However, it's important to note that to obtain a CDL, the employee may be required to first receive medical certification to demonstrate that they are capable of operating a commercial vehicle. This medical certification process will entail a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical that requires the employee to undergo a urinalysis drug test, a hearing and vision test, and a physical health examination.
