After a Willow Grove man died of a fentanyl overdose, the woman who provided him with the drugs admitted her guilt and is heading to state prison. Johneia Marie Garrett's guilty plea came just five days before her case was headed to trial. The charges stemmed from her role in a 2019 incident that resulted in the death of Nicholas Golden. While a conviction would have landed her 20 to 40 years, her plea resulted in a punishment of two years in state prison followed by three years of parole and an additional two years of probation.
Golden's mother says she is pleased that Garrett has pleaded guilty to her crimes and that she believes it's important for society to start holding drug dealers accountable.
