In September 2022 in West Valley City, UT, a man was arrested with several pounds of various drugs and 17 guns. The arrest occurred following a search warrant, leading to the seizure of 50 pounds of methamphetamine, 13 points of cocaine, 33 pounds of heroin, and 5,000 fentanyl pills. The 38-year-old man was charged with the possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl with the intent to distribute and suspected drug trafficking.
In April of 2019, an ongoing investigation into a drug trafficking organization led to a drug bust in West Valley City, UT. In September 2018, investigators received a tip about a man transporting more than 50 pounds of methamphetamine every two weeks from California to Utah. Three months later, investigators were told by another informant that this man was transporting between 60 to 80 pounds of meth every two weeks from California to Utah. After several weeks of surveillance at the man's home, a search warrant was executed. Inside, officers seized two pounds of heroin, 27 pounds of methamphetamine, a gun, and ammunition.
