In September of 2022, the Warren Police Department conducted a major drug bust around 12 Mile and Van Dyke. The drug bust resulted in the seizure of guns and drugs, including fentanyl, a deadly synthetic opioid.

In June of 2022, a 45-year-old Warren man was arrested after the Warren Police Department conducted an undercover purchase of methamphetamine. During the investigation, authorities found methamphetamine, weapons, and about 10,000 rounds of ammunition. A search warrant of the man's home led officers to find narcotics packaging materials, 35 grams of methamphetamine, 14 handguns, 23 rifles, 24 crates of ammunition, and 100 individual loaded firearm magazines.
