Local Drug Busts in San Antonio, Texas
In November 2023, ten individuals were arrested during a raid on a home that was known for its repeated involvement in drug activities. Sheriff Javier Salazar stated that this particular event, led by the Bexar County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), was the fourth intervention at the residence in the 2300 block of East Houston Street within the year.
During the raid, deputies encountered difficulties when breaking through a wall with a battering ram. The battering ram disturbed residual tear gas particles from an earlier operation, which slowed their ability to enter the premises. While SWAT members tried to break down the wall, several suspects attempted to escape but were caught and detained by the BCSO deputies. Sheriff Salazar said that while not all individuals detained during the raid would face criminal charges, they did charge three suspects.
