Stearns County Drug Court Helps with Crime Reduction
The Stearns County Drug Court attempts to reduce drug-related crimes and recidivism by providing an addiction treatment program as an alternative to criminal prosecution. During their time in court, participants "are treated firmly, but fairly and consistently, with dignity and respect."
Each requirement throughout the program is within a participant's control and is measured by specific performance goals. If a participant fails to complete all three phases of the program, they face traditional sentencing options in court.
