Redlands Detective Eric Strobaugh spoke about the increase of fentanyl overdoses in Redlands and the city's effort to combat the problems. "One major problem contributing to fentanyl overdoses and addiction is the counterfeit pills containing fentanyl are being pressed into pills that appear to be a different legitimate pill," he said. He added that Redlands police officers offer treatment options to people struggling with narcotic addiction and provide fentanyl awareness to the community. "Some information we seek to convey is fentanyl history, identification, signs of an overdose, and addiction treatment options," Strobaugh said.
