The Hamblen Sheriff's Office patrol and the Criminal Investigations Division assisted with the search warrant at a home on Old Russellville Pike. Police were already investigating a man, 61, and a woman, 63, who both lived at the home. Another 45-year-old woman was also at the residence during the search. According to Lieutenant Gene Watson of the Narcotics Division, the investigation occurred for two years prior to the search, and the 63-year-old woman was known as the biggest pill dealer in the area. The money seized in the search went back to the sheriff's department to fund equipment and training for the Narcotics Division, helping them get drugs off the streets.
