On October 22, 2020, Douglas County deputies were patrolling US Highway 395 in Minden when a vehicle was stopped for a speeding violation. When deputies approached the vehicle, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. This resulted in three males being asked to exit the vehicle to conduct a field narcotics investigation.
Inside the vehicle, law enforcement discovered 8 pounds of marijuana, 627 grams of concentrated THC, roughly $2,000 in cash, and a Glock-19 handgun. Joseph Coleman, Erin Sadzak, and an unidentified underage male were arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including trafficking a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance for sale, prohibited possession of a firearm, and child endangerment.
