In 2019, a husband and wife from Merrick, NY were arrested for selling narcotics out of their home and charged with multiple drug charges. The husband, a former New York City police officer, and his wife, a former school aid, were on probation for previous offenses. Authorities from Nassau County were doing a probation watch on the couple's house, where they found multiple narcotics including fentanyl, Oxycodone, Xanax, and heroin. Scales and $146,000 in cash were also found.
In Merrick, NY in 2016, a drug raid led to the arrest of five people. The investigation began after multiple complaints about drug activity were received. Officers seized a loaded handgun, marijuana, and 41 grams of heroin from the home. Four residents of the home and one woman leaving the home, who was in possession of heroin, were arrested.
