According to reports, law enforcement conducted a search of the Lodi man's apartment, where agents discovered several large bags of methamphetamine alongside a firearm magazine containing multiple rounds of ammunition. Local Initiatives to Help Curb Substance Abuse in Lodi, CA

In an effort to raise awareness around the deadly risks of fentanyl use, the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office adopted the One Pill Can Kill initiative developed by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This initiative comes at a time when deaths among young locals are increasing as a result of purchasing counterfeit painkillers laced with fentanyl off the streets.

Through this campaign, San Joaquin County wants to educate both local adolescents and adults on the various resources they can access if they're suffering from addiction concerns or know of someone at risk. These resources include free Naloxone training, which is an emergency medication used during an opioid overdose to reverse its deadly effects. One Pill Can Kill also works to enhance law enforcement efforts to help better combat fentanyl trafficking and distribution across the county.
