Six years ago, a 33-year-old man from Highlands Ranch fled to Mexico to avoid persecution for money laundering and distributing over five hundred grams of methamphetamine. He was arrested, deported back to the United States, and pleaded guilty. As of September 2022, he was sentenced to federal prison for five years by Judge Domenico.
"This sentence should serve as a stark reminder for those criminals, whether they distribute addictive and deadly drugs or launder the proceeds, the DEA will continue to use every available resource to disrupt their illegal operations," stated Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent Besser.
