Gilbert man facing felony charges for multiple crimes, including drug-related offenses

A 22-year-old man from Gilbert is facing multiple felony charges, including allegations of engaging in sexual activity with two underage girls and drug-related offenses, according to authorities.

The man was arrested in January 2024 and was held in Maricopa County Jail on charges that included sexual conduct with a minor and possession of marijuana and narcotics with intent to sell. The police started to investigate him when they found out he was using social media to market drugs to high school students. An undercover detective contacted him online in October 2023 to arrange a marijuana purchase. Although he missed several scheduled meetings, he ultimately sold 28 grams of marijuana for $155 to the undercover officer. Eventually, Gilbert police executed a search warrant at his residence, arresting him without incident. During the search, detectives recovered drugs, paraphernalia for weighing and packaging, and nearly $20,000 in cash, including the marked bills from the undercover transaction.
