Although Virginia officials have worked to increase public awareness of the dangers of opioid abuse in Front Royal, the Warren County government still continues to struggle with the aggressive opioid epidemic. In addition, McAuliffe also passed HB 2165, which mandates that all opioid prescriptions be transmitted to pharmacies electronically to efficiently track and prevent the misuse of opioid medications.
