Notable Historical Events Related to Drug Use in Dulles, VA and Loudoun County
In 2020 in Loudoun County, a three-year-long investigation led the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office to the seizure of illicit goods and drugs. The seizure of these drugs was the largest in Loudoun County history. Authorities, along with the DEA, seized $1.4 million in cash, seven illegal firearms, and more than $5.3 million worth of drugs including cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and heroin. A narcotics distributor from Temple Hills, Roger Vincent, was identified. Vincent got his drugs from the west coast from suppliers who were shipping large quantities of drugs to the east coast, many times by tractor-trailer. He was arrested in 2018 and in 2019 was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison. The seizure in 2020 resulted in the arrest of three other men on distribution charges.
