Following a three-month drug trafficking investigation by the sheriff's vice and narcotics unit, officers made the biggest methamphetamine bust in Rockdale County history in 2016. The bust yielded $16,000 in cash, more than two kilos of meth, and a pound of marijuana. The street value of the meth was approximately $50,000.
In a press conference, Sheriff Levett was quoted as saying this is a clear message that "...criminals are not welcome in Rockdale County. We don't tolerate crime in Rockdale County."
