College Station, Texas: Drug abuse trends

Like many other states in the U.S., Texas has faced increased numbers of drug overdoses in recent years. Since only 15 counties out of 254 counties in Texas have medical examiners, authorities say that drug overdoses are likely massively underreported in the state. The University of Texas project (TxCOPE) is a local initiative that crowdsources drug overdose data to try to collect more accurate numbers of overdoses. The dashboards show heat maps of areas where drug overdoses are most common so that harm reduction groups can focus on those areas in prevention and recovery efforts.

Brazos County is also struggling with the growth of methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl, which all contribute to drug overdose deaths. Drugs are often spiked with fentanyl, a powerful opioid, and people take them without realizing it. Since fentanyl is at least three times stronger than morphine, this often leads to dangerous or deadly drug overdose deaths. On the other hand, the numbers for cocaine use in Texas are decreasing, and marijuana indicators are level.

The man admitted to selling the drugs inside the apartment and now faces multiple charges for manufacturing and distributing controlled substances.

First impression is that HealthStreet performed their testing as they advertised they would. Very happy with the service, so far. I am on court ordered testing due to DUI violations and really needed to find an independent testing facility in my area as I am out of state from the offense. Searched on-line and found these guys and they were acceptable to the court. Customer service was straightforward, polite and efficient.
