Notable Historical Events Related to Drug Use in Allston, MA

In 2021, an investigation in Allston, MA led to the seizure of guns, illicit drugs, and cash. Vladimir Florus was arrested after three search warrants were executed at a home in Allston. Inside the home, officers found fentanyl, three loaded handguns, 47.5 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana packaged for sale, $4,324 in cash, paraphernalia, and pills.

In February 2021, a major operation led by the DEA and Boston Police Department led to the arrest of three men on narcotics charges at a Doubletree Hotel in Allston, MA. During the months-long investigation, officers made multiple purchases of large amounts of narcotics. The investigation ended with a raid at the Doubletree Hotel. Charges of the three men arrested included the possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, trafficking of cocaine, manufacturing of methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute, and drug possession class A.

Experts Say...

In 2020, Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy D. Sini made a statement after the arrests of fifteen people following a takedown of a drug distribution ring. "My Office has made it clear that gangs and drugs have no place in our communities," he said, "We will continue to target, arrest and prosecute dangerous gang members and their associates – particularly those who are peddling poison on our streets – to the fullest extent of the law."
