Following a Greater Pittsburgh Safe Streets Task Force Investigation in August 2020, United States Attorney Scott Brady announced the sentencing of multiple drug traffickers from the Greater Pittsburgh region, including one from Allison Park. According to reports, Marvin Porter of Allison Park conspired with local gang members to possess and distribute heroin throughout the Allegheny County area.
Throughout the course of the investigation, law enforcement was able to obtain authorization to intercept phone communications of Chadlin Leavy, a suspected local heroin supplier. During the review of his communications, it was discovered he spoke with Porter and planned to distribute heroin to him. When law enforcement issued a search warrant at Porter's Allison Park residence, they discovered multiple firearms and ammunition as well as 612 bricks and one bundle of heroin. Porter was sentenced to 60 months in prison followed by a four-year supervised release.
