In August 2022, a traffic stop in Allen, TX, led officers to discover more than $500,000 worth of methamphetamine. After stopping the vehicle, the driver agreed to the search, and officers found about 20 kilograms of methamphetamine valued at $563,200. Two people were arrested.
In May 2022, Allen Police arrest a man for transporting over 100 pounds of marijuana. The man was stopped for speeding on State Highway 1, and he handed officers a revoked driver's license. He was arrested for suspicion of driving with a revoked license. Allen Police Department Assistant Chief Chad Vandever noticed large trash bags in the back seat that smelled like marijuana. Inside the trash bags were 122 one-pound bags of marijuana, and inside the car, authorities found a pistol and $800 cash. He was arrested and charged with trafficking illegal drugs, possession of drug proceeds, and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.

We are witnessing a historic explosion of fatal fentanyl poisonings in every town, village, and city across this nation," Skinner said. "In Collin County, we will continue to investigate every one of these fentanyl poisonings to identify the dealers responsible for causing these deaths."
